How Pharmacy First Helps Patients
Pharmacy First lets you speak to a trained pharmacist for selected minor illnesses and common infections. If it is suitable, you can get treatment and self care advice in one visit, with clear safety netting on what to do if symptoms change.
The service covers conditions such as sinusitis, sore throat, earache, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles, and uncomplicated urine infections in women aged 16 to 64. We will ask about your symptoms, medicines, and allergies, then explain the best next step. If you need other care, we will guide you to the right service.
Appointments are available subject to pharmacist availability. Eligibility depends on your age and symptoms. Bring a list of medicines and tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
